Sometimes my corporate work and my photography work get to mesh together. Thursday afternoon was such an occasion. The Dayton, OH Roto-Rooter location built a new building (you can read the article by clicking here - Journal News) and part of the Marketing Department from the headquarters office in Cincinnati were going up to do some Grand Opening planning. Since that's the department I work in, they brought me along for some photo work.
It's a very impressive building. When you walk in the main doors, the lobby area opens up to a large bank of windows facing I-75. As you walk through the building you get to the garage area which is extremely large, and able to handle a number of large vehicles such as the one in the photo above.
Buildings and vehicles are nice, but at the end of the day it's about the people. This building also has some great meeting areas on the second floor. One of the more exciting areas will be a plumbing school housed right on the grounds of this building. It will consist of a full mock-up of many home plumbing areas like sinks, utility tubs, etc. Not only will those items be available as training tools, but the area affords the space to build space between the wall of the building and the mock-up wall so those going through the training can see the 'behind the wall' plumbing.
