An early happy Mother's Day post.
A few years back when our youngest was still small enough to be carried around we took a little summer vacation up to my childhood home of East Tawas, MI. It's a beautiful little tourist town on Lake Huron. After getting unpacked, and visiting a little bit we walked the few blocks to downtown where we made a visit to Marion's Dairy Bar, and then down to the beach. It was a perfect Northern Michigan evening and we all just hung out at the water's edge and enjoyed the peaceful sound of the lake and finished off our ice cream.
It was an awesome golden sky at the time, and I looked out and saw my wife with my youngest son tucked into his Moby Wrap looking so very peaceful and snug. I've always loved this shot, and thought of it as a great Mother's Day photo since it has such a caring, intimate feel to it. It's one of those photos where we'll look at it when the kids have all left the nest and wonder where the time went, and go, "do you remember when?"
I was contacted this weekend by a site promoting "best of" baby products. They liked the shot as well and were interested in using it for their blog/ad on Moby Wraps. The link to the site is http://thenightlight.com/the-best-wrap-baby-carrier/. There are share buttons at the end of this post. Feel free to share / Like / Pin. I'd appreciate the traffic as would the folks at TheNightlight.
In the spirit of the photo, Happy Early Mother's Day! Mom's, you don't get enough credit! Your role is too easily taken for granted, and it's way more difficult than most people know.
